City: Marietta State/Prov.: GA Country: USA Occupation: Director Strategic Business Development Website: www.sollenberger.net Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 If married - how long?: 14 Years What are the ages of your children?: 7 (Emma), 5 (Brennan), 3 (Gavin) What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: Stacy and I spent 1997-1999 in Ft Wayne, IN before we had our first child Emma (now 7). In order to be closer to our extended family, I took a job with Ford’s Finance group in Dearborn, eventually joining the Corporate Business Development group divesting of Ford’s ancillary businesses. We were living in South Lyon, MI when we had Brennan (5), and Gavin (3), (who I am sad to say were both born at UofM hospital - I quickly disposed of the UofM onsie they gave us!). In 2004 I foresaw the decline of the domestic auto industry (OK…I realize that was not tough to do), and accepted a position with The Home Depot’s Strategic Business Development group. We moved to Atlanta GA, and I have spent the last 3 years acquiring businesses for our HD Supply subsidiaries. After a long year and a half, last spring I received my MBA from Emory University’s Executive MBA program. Stacy stretches herself between a successful HR and Leadership consulting practice, and keeping our household together. I enjoy spending time playing with my family and messing around with our landscaping…all along trying to keep my bald head covered from the sun! What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?: I received my CPA and worked for Ernst & Young in Detroit after graduating from MSU with an accounting degree. I then transferred to Cleveland after getting married to my beautiful college sweetheart Stacy. Stacy and I spent 4 years in “the mistake on the lake” (we actually liked Cleveland) before I joined General Electric’s Finance group and we moved to the booming town of Fort Wayne, IN. |

City: Leawood State/Prov.: KS Country: USA Occupation: Mom/wife Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 If married - how long?: 12 years What are the ages of your children?: Alex 9 years, Evan 6 years and Olivia 4 years What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: Due to the nature of my husbands career path (climbing the corporate ladder)in the investment industry we proceeded to move 7 more times after the first move to Delaware! Although it has never been easy, we mastered the art of moving and building houses along the way. We moved around Delaware, then to Oklahoma. We lived in Tulsa twice and moved two seperate times within Oklahoma City and Edmond, OK. Now we live in Leawood Kansas, just outside of Kansas City. We were busy traveling and having children, too. Alex was born in Delaware, Evan in Edmond, OK, and Olivia in Tulsa OK. Motherhood has been amazing, rewarding and challenging, resulting in personal and spiritual growth. As a parent of multiple kids (and a husband that travels),I am extremely busy juggling their schools, activities and sports. Sadly, after having Alex (1998) we found out that my mother was diagnosed with early Alzhiemer's disease (which has since progressed). This has been a stress that has profoundly affected me. My husband and close friends have given me the strength and support to manage this horrible illness affecting our family. We are in the process of moving her close to us. I am passionate about my amazing husband, beautiful kids, family, friends, TRAVEL, sports and good health, volunteering and the environment. I can't wait to see everyone! I love catching up with those I have not been in touch with regularly. So many things change in 20 years! Life is good, see you soon. Picture posted was from our recent trip to Beijing, China. What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?: I attended Michigan State University and enjoyed some of the best years of my life! Enjoyed Sorrority life with a few from OHS. Due to the busy social schedule I ended up switching my major around a few times and received a BA in Advertising in 1991. I lost my father during this time to a rare disease. I ended up in sales positions that lead to management in the Novi area. While in Novi, I was working in outside sales for a telecommunications company. During this time I met the most amazing person and fell in love. I feel extremely fortunate to have found a person that has virtually every quality one would wish for. Jim and I were engaged during a MSU homecoming in 1994. We were married in Bloomfield Hills in October 1995. Immeadiatly after our wedding we moved to the east coast, Wilmington Delaware. I began working in Human resources within the banking industry. I loved HR. I joined the Jumior League and have been involved in volunteering through the league throughout my moves for over 8 years. At the 10 year reunion I was pregnant with my first child (Alex). |

City: Okemos State/Prov.: MI Country: USA Occupation: Environmental Consultant Marital Status: Committed Relationship What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: ...after a couple more years and 7 math classes (I wish I would have paid attention in high school), I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hydrogeology from the University of Arizona in Tucson. I worked for the U.S. Geological Survey during and just after college in AZ, and spent a year or so working for a small Environmental Consulting firm in Phoenix. In order to be closer to my family, I capitalized on a job opportunity during 2001 with a large consulting firm that had an office in Okemos, where I continue to live and work managing groundwater protection studies for various clients including the MDEQ, and the U.S. EPA.............P.S. - If you live in Mason or Cadillac, you may want to pay attention to any news stories regarding the municipal drinking water quality/supply in the years to come. What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?: I woke up one morning after high school and was informed that the world was my oyster, but I soon discovered that this gem of information didn't come with any cash. So, I began taking classes at LCC while working full-time. This proved to be a difficult endeavor, and since I didn't know what I wanted to do, I decided to move to Chicago. I spent a couple of years there and learned (among some other important things in life) that I was quite possibly the worst waiter on the planet. I then moved back to Lansing where I continued my illustrious college career. I had discovered Geology during my first run, and moved to Arizona after amassing Gen. Ed., math, and Geo. credits... |

et City: Nomad State/Prov.: CA Country: USA Occupation: Circus Performer/Librarian Marital Status: Single What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: I showed up in San Francisco to visit friends from college and ended up landing a job at the SF Public Library, so I moved to SF for about 3 years. When I first arrived in SF I was dancing for a band and for one show we had an aerialist. She turned me on to the San Francisco School of Circus Arts, where I started taking flying trapeze classes, which led to swinging trapeze, which led to Chinese Acrobatics, which led to tightiwire. In 1998 I met my (ex)boyfriend during a cross-country tour and after a year of long-distance love, I moved to Virginia to be with him, my family (parents, sister and her family,) and create a one-woman show. I lived in Virginia in a log cabin with no bathroom, worked at a tiny library and created my show in a barn, and helped as my sister popped out one after another of babies. At different times, using VA as a base, we travelled around in our 1963 Airstream--me performing and he painting. My show opened at Times Square and I did a little East Coast tour in 2005, during which my ex and I split up. So I moved back to San Francisco to get some distance. In the past two or so years, I moved to Bulgaria (for another man--an American journalist.) and discovered chalga music, which led me back to music. I fell in love with Istanbul and have been learning Turkish and am planning to move there in the fall. I've been performing with shows here and there. Last year I lived in China for 5 months, learning foot juggling. I plan to take this act to the nightclubs of Istanbul. What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?: Majored in Ethnomusicology at UM in Ann Arbor. I played in a band/performance art group. After school I moved to Austin and played in other bands and drank too much, slept too much, slept around too much. . . Finally got myself together and went to grad school for library science. That didn't immediately end the debauchery, but at some point I moved to San Francisco. |
