What have you been doing for the last 10 years?:
After I got a job w/ the Detroit Lions that got us back to Michigan, I began to move up the ranks in the team and after 6 years, became the team's first female vice president. Had 2 kids in the meantime, as well as opened up Ford Field. Went thru a management change for the worse and was tired of never being at home and not being much of a mom, so I left the team in 2003. Don't regret that decision, as they continue to lose to this day... After that, my husband and I bought a cottage on Rifle Lake near Rose City and I went to work at an advertising agency here in the Detroit area. Continue to try to find the balance between work, kids and home. Am striving to run my first 1/2 marathon this fall in Detroit, play at least 2 rounds of golf a summer and am into the flower/gardening thing. Thanks to Vanessa Fisher for saving my dad in the ER at Sparrow!
What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?:
Graduated from MSU and got a job in Toledo w/ the MAC, met my future husband in Atlanta, got a job with the Detroit Pistons, then followed my man to Chicago and worked for an investment banking firm and hated it. Moved from downtown, got married and bought a house in the suburbs of Chi-town and then got a job with the Chicago Wolves, a IHL Hockey team. Left in 1997 to move back to Michigan after a 2-week trip to Italy.

I have worked for Malcolm Pirnie, an environmental engineering consulting firm, since 2000. I met my husband, Patrick, in 2002 and we married in 2004. We have two great kids that I love to death.

In 1997 married a wonderful guy from Okemos, Marc Mellor - OHS 1981 grad. (Thanks to Beth Gagnier Daust and her family for introducing us!) Moved to Pensacola, FL in 2000 to open a Two Men And a Truck franchise with my husband. 6 months later, we were expecting twins and 1000 miles away from home. Since then, life has been a blur. Acclimating to the "Old South" was hard at first but it was worth it for the opportunity to live in sunshine more than 350 days a year. Very happy being a mom of 3 kids under 5 (5 yr old boy/girl twins Sam/Chloe and 17 mo old boy, Cooper) a little crazy, but very happy.
What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?:
Went to LCC. Went to MSU. Graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1992 with a BA in Art & Design. Worked in health care operations but got frustrated with working for others so started looking at diffent business opportunities. Met my husband, got married a year or so later. Shortly after that we decided to start a business and moved to Pensacola.

I have been in the wine business on the sales and marketing end. I also started a business conducting wine seminars and wine appreciation classes. I finally got on stage with my original music, and manage to squeeze in a performance or two here and there. I was lucky enough to have two beautiful children, with whom I spend most of my time.
What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?:
I graduated MSU in 92. Traveled the world and lived like a gypsy across the country (NYC, Boston, Seattle, Aspen, Nantucket and finally Naples, Fl). Got married, had two kids. Rocked out in various bands. Learned 5 musical instruments. Pursued my masters in the wine field. Became a sommelier, and jumped in the wholesale end of the wine industry.

I was a computer programmer for Compuware Corporation from 1995 - 2003. Then after being downsized from that job I have been working to find my next calling. After bouncing around in MI for a while I moved to Henderson, NV almost 4 years ago now and have been working for Office Depot in technology and now a Product Solutions Manager.
What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?:
After graduating, I went to Lansing Community College for 3 years and then Central Michigan University for 3 years where I got my Bachelors in Computer Science and Math. Then started working for Compuware Corporation as a computer programmer

Teaching High School chemistry in the Chicago area. I also finally completed a Master's degree in chemistry. During this time we also have been blessed enough to have 2 beautiful children, design and build a home, and do some traveling. Our favorite places are probably Tahiti, Costa Rica, Greece, and now that we have children...Disney World. We still see my family frequently, and we make it back home for at least one MSU football game each fall.
What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?:
Earned a degree in Biochemistry at Michigan State, with a teaching endorsement. I took a teaching job at the high school level, and I have been loving it! I met my husband in 1991, married in 1993, and we spent 9 years enjoying life as a couple before we had children. During this time I also earned a Master's degree in Education.

We have been busy building a house and raising our two boys. We live in the Gull Lake area (near Kalamazoo) and enjoy spending time outdoors, with friends, and traveling.

I lived in the Okemos area after graduating from MSU. After leaving Okemos, I moved to Cincinnati and then Northville. We moved to Gull Lake in '96 and have lived here since.
