City: Saginaw State/Prov.: MI Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 If married - how long?: 15 years What are the ages of your children?: 7 and 10 What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: Angie and I have been living in Saginaw for 12 years. We've had a couple of terrific kids during that time. I'm in IT Security at the moment, but I get bored with my job every 3-4 years, so I'm not sure where I will end up next. I really have to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. My current job has allowed me to travel quite a bit. I've been to Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and China. It's a good thing I like all types of food! Although we have lived near the Saginaw Bay for a long time, we just got into boating. It's a disease! We're on our 3rd boat, hopefully this will be the last one for a while. What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?: I graduated from Michigan State (where I met my wife) with a Mechanical Engineering Degree, and working in Indianapolis for several years as a manufacturing design engineer. We moved back to Michigan in 1994. I worked for General Motors for a brief period and then moved to Dow Chemical, where I have been since first as a manufacturing engineer, and then in several different IT fields. From Roc: I had a blast at the reunion! It was great to see everyone! |

City: Dearborn State/Prov.: MI Country: USA Occupation: wife, mother, floral designer Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 If married - how long?: 10 years What are the ages of your children?: Jack is 6yrs old and Grace is 5yrs old What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: The last 10 have been exceptional. I worked in the automotive industry as a trainer/profit maker. The work was very rewarding, yet not conducive to the "real world" so to speak. I met my husband and we wanted a family. Sooooo I jumped on the band wagon and had two children within 16 months of each other! Holy Motherhood!!! Talk about quick training (for me)! I have been a stay at home mom and recently started my own floral design business. What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?: I literally lived out of a suitcase. I traveled around the U.S. teaching car dealers how to make more $$$$$. My brother was in a serious car accident which brought me back to reality in 1995. I moved permanetly back to MI and established a home base with my Okemos family. I took some time away from my career to look after my brother and I am pleased to report, he is living independently. Life has it's way of putting you in check. I am eternally grateful and fascinated at the same time. Life is good. From tracey: Hello! Cannot believe I am putting my life into words after 20 years! I really look forward to seeing one and all. |

City: Ovid State/Prov.: MI Country: USA Occupation: Veterinary Laboratory Technologist Marital Status: Married If married - how long?: 4 years What have you been doing for the last 10 years?: It has been a crazy 10 years since the last reunion. I was not too impressed with how things were going in my life around the time of the first reunion, so I decided not to go. Now I look forward to touching base with everyone. I had gotten a new job, my mom lost her battle with cancer, I bought my first house and then my dad was getting remarried all within 3 years time. The best of all was when I met my husband through crazy circumstances. Now we are very lucky to have our hobby farm. On our farm we raise a few steers, a couple pet goats, chickens (for eggs or for meat) and we have a couple dogs (a great dane and a lab) which I love dearly. I have been blessed with a niece and 4 nephews, plus my husband and I are trying to adopt an infant. I work as a Lab Tech on the campus of MSU doing something not even remotely based on my degree in Agricultural Communications. My husband's hobby of antique cars spilled over to me so that we both enjoy riding in our Ford Model A's. What did you do for the 10 years after OHS?: I attended MSU directly in the Fall of 1987, but I had no clue as to what I wanted to study. I fell into Animal Science since my dad was teaching in that field on campus and he directed me towards the Dairy Science club to get involved. Through that I met some great people and learned a lot more about cows (I know, a little goofy, but their cool). I originally got a job with the lab I am presently working in, but I finally got a job with the campus dairy farm which I stayed at till I graduated. I eventually found another farm job in Williamston for a few months, but my big job was finally in Stockbridge on a dairy farm for 4 1/2 years. I was in charge of all their youngstock from newborn to over a year old, I milked 240 cows once a day, kept up herd records and helped with veterinary care. When the work became too much for my back and the headaches from horrible managers were too much for me, I found a job back at MSU, taking the place of the woman who was my supervisor when I was a Freshman in school. Thus, my career took a different path and I was around more to spend time with my mom before she died. I believe things happen for a reason and you just have to wait out the storms in between. |
